Featuring Kincaid’s Lupine (Lupinus oreganus var. kincaidii), an endemic flower of the Willametted Valley, is host to the Fender’s Blue Butterfly (Icaricia icariodes fenderi), a species once thought extinct. Both the plant and the butterfly are threatened, with less than 1% of their habitat remaining. Fortunately, thanks to the efforts of conservationists, the population has been growing.
