The Shun 22-Slot Bamboo Block is big enough to display a large Shun collection beautifully on your countertop. This handsome block includes slots for your honing steel, kitchen shears, and can even hold up to six steak knives. Everything stays within easy reach when you keep this block in your kitchen. This attractive block is made of easy-to-clean, stain resistant bamboo. Durable bamboo is harder than maple, lighter than oak, and is one of the world’s most renewable resources. Grown without chemicals or pesticides, bamboo matures rapidly and needs little water. It is ideal for kitchen accessories because it absorbs very little moisture and so doesn’t shrink or swell like other hardwoods. To keep it clean, just wipe with a damp cloth. The natural hardness of bamboo means it resists knife marks and retains its handsome appearance even under consistent use.
